  • Viola Book is available in Beginning, Intermediate and Advanced levels. All are written to be played together. All Three are available in Violin and Cello as well.
  • The Beginning Viola book is designed to help the beginning student learn to read the music as they learn the technique of playing the viola. The student is introduced to one finger - four notes - at a time giving the younger student time to learn to play that finger in tune before moving on to the next four notes and the next finger. Inch Worms is the third piece in the book. The first two pieces are open strings pieces. The beginning violin and cello have the same melody. All three instruments can play together. There is a bass book but it is somewhat more limited in scope.
  • The intermediate Viola book is designed so that if you have a student who is learning faster than the other students, you can challenge that student and still use the same pieces in the class. Each piece is harmonically written to be played with the beginning part. They both can be played with the same piano accompaniment or the accompaniment CD.
The Book 2 does not start where the Book 1 leaves off but is slightly more difficult that the first book so you can give the parts to the faster learners and not wait until they have finished the first book.

Product Description

A method book uniquely suited to a class room setting and fun for private lessons.  All pieces in the book are available in Violin, Viola, Cello and Bass books.  All have intermediate and advanced parts which can be played in conjunction with the original piece making it possible to challange the faster advancing student in the same class as the beginning student.

The method introduces four notes at a time ( open strings, then first fingers, then third fingers ) enableing the student to learn each set of notes before advancing to the next set of notes.  There is a CD and piano accompaniment book that makes playing the piece more fun.  The four advanced parts most often form a quartet that is nice to play by itself.

Front and back covers are laminated for long wear and beginning books are printed on card stock throughout for endurance.
